4 Boys Enroll in Secondary School for the Deaf

March 8, 2018

Lance’s Deaf Orphans (LDO) celebrated a monumental success in 2017–not one, two, or even three, but FOUR Deaf boys graduated to the next level of education.

With persistence, determination, and academic vigor, boys from LDO passed difficult KCPE exams, qualifying them to attend Kuja Secondary School for the Deaf. Not only does this give them a higher education and broaden their experiences, but it gives them hope for the future—with an education from Kuja, these boys have the opportunity to hold the occupation they desire, they have the opportunity that many children in their position lack.

Winston Omandi, the director at LDO, was recently able to visit the boys, ensuring their smooth transition to Kuja. He reports that the boys are happy, thankful, and learning. They want everyone who has supported them in this endeavor to receive their heartfelt appreciation for helping make this experience possible for them. They received donations, and were able to bring suitcases of supplies to their housing at the school.

“They asked me to pass on their greetings and thanks to you and everyone at DCH.”

Everyone at DCH congratulates these boys for their hard work and success, and prays for their continued happiness and blessings. We also ask for your prayers and donations to help these boys further on the path of success!
