Junior Kekulah

Birthdate: 2003

Junior became deaf when he was one year old; the cause is not known. He has attended the school since 2015. His mother was unwilling and unable to care for him when he became deaf, so he was then adopted by an Aunt who owns a small sundry store. Junior helps with the store by waiting on customers. He has a clubbed foot and walks with a limp. He is very serious and hardworking and has a supportive family. One of his brothers is learning sign language to help him communicate at home and in the neighborhood. His adoptive mother works very hard and is the sole provider for Junior and the other 8 children living in the home.
